POST 5 >> TIME TRAVEL TO THE PAST OR FUTURE

What would I choose, travel to the past or to the future?

In the hypothetical case of being able to travel in time, both options are very interesting to me, if I could travel to the future, I could see the great technological advances of science and the human being, I could also travel to the future and be able to record the lottery results so I could come back to the present and win a lot of money. If I could travel to the Past, this would be much more interesting, I could solve great doubts in the history of humanity, understand historical events, and thus I could bring the truth to the present. Traveling to the Past is much more attractive, it could correct some events in my life such as accidents, catastrophes, bad decisions, and thus I can advise my Doppelganger from the past which decisions and paths to take in life, to avoid bad times and painful situations.

If I could only have a trip to the future or to the past, this means that I could never return to the present, it is more attractive to travel to some time in the past, in the case of staying in a future time it is more uncertain, since I would not know how to what I would face and how easy or difficult it would be for me to adjust to living there. Now, if I had to choose which time from the past to go to live, it would be the 90's, it is a time when technology was more than enough to not lose our humanity, unlike now that social networks ruined social relationships.

POST >> A PHOTOGRAPH YOU LIKE

I took this photo many years ago. In this photo there are two musicians who were studing the same career as me at that time.

Personally, this photo makes me very nostalgic for that time, when we still dod not feel the harshness of adult life and we alked the streets of Santiago with great dreams and hopes that had not yet been overshadowes by reality. This was a time when I was everywhere with my camera a lot, and I always managed to capture moments like this. We were wandering through used clothing stores, places full of colors, and my friends stared for a long time at an old window that was in that old store, and they wondered what that old bulding must have been like before it became a seedy little business.

Like the postcard in the image, it brings to mind the same doubts and nostalgia, the clothes muted by the darkness of the old place.

POST >> YOUR BUCKET LIST

I don´t have a very complicated Bucket list, so I just write my wishes for the very distant future. This happens because I have never proposed to make a B
ucket List to follow step by step, or to comply with the passage of time. I try to be in the present or just think about the near future, gradually building yhe path of my life.

One of my great goals for the future would be to study abroad, go to music conservatories in France, to be able to achieve this dream I have been studying French classes. Lately it has been very difficult for me to continue my studies in French classes because I feel that it is very difficult for me to learn other lenguages. I feel that in the near future it will not be as difficult as it sounds to be able to travel to France and ber able to study my instrument at a conservatory in Paris.

Another dream that I see very far away is to be able to live in the south of Chile. Live a good distance from the city to be far enough away to avoid the noise but close enough to use your benefits. I would like to have a humble house without many luxuries, just what is fair and necessary. I want to have only one car, just to move with peace of mind, I want to have a SUZUKI MARUTI, it´s a beautiful you need at an affordable price and consumes very little gasoline!

POST 4 >> TV SHOWS AND SERIES

Currently I am not a person who consumes a lot of TV, but before the arribal of smartphones, social networks and specialized content such as streaming platforms, I consumed more TV.

When I was very young, the TV that was consumed the most in my house were the TV series at lunch time, although I did not enjoy them too much since I was still at school at that time. Of course, when we arrived with my brother from school, we had dinner watching rality shows, we saw them almost every day with the whole family at the table or on the sofa. The reality show that I remember enjoy yhe most was the first reality show in Chile called "Protagonistas de la Fama", hosted by Sergio Lagos. It was a reality show that exploited the real talents of the participants.

Leter, the quality of reality´s shows began to worsen and became just a show where only  pink press was done. So I started to lose interest in this kind of entertainment. But for my great luck salvation came for my open signal TV consumption, THE SIMPSON!. I have great memories of seeing these cartoons every day after school with my brother, and laughing ewvery afternon with this spectacular animated comedy. 

The most interesting thing is that now as an adult I meet people who also enjoyed The Simpsons as much as I did, some of then know entire chapters by heart since chapters were repeated too much in the TV broadcast.

POST 3 >> ACADEMIC CHALLENGES IN 2022

 

I am going to write about some changes that could be made in my study program. 

First I must remind you that I am in the Faculty of Arts at the University of Chile. In the Faculty of Arts many changes are needed, mainly it needs changes in its infrastucture as a building. Currently the faculty in experiencing a shortage of individual study rooms. The main reasons why the faculty of Arts has insfractuture problems is because it is an old building that has not been properly restored. We must know that the University of Chile is  not giving resources ($) to the Faculty of Arts, for this reason the Facultyt of Artes does not have enough technology in the classrooms to be able to make a better class.

The faculty of arts has bad bereaucratic practices, because the few monetary resources prevent it from restructuring new and young personal. The curriculum has become obsolete over time  due to all the reasons I written before.

Even so, there are very high level theachers in the Faculty of Arts, comitted to their work with what thier work represents, there are also many very talented student whi help raise the level of the institution.

Maybe my analysis is too negative, but I think it´s realistic too, and I can see that there are teachers and students who manage to make it work, regardless of the problems, and that gives me hope.

POST 2 >> THE BEST HOLIDAYS

 Many years ago, I went on a trip to a small costal town. It was not very far from the capital. It is called "Spiaggia Le Saline", it is locatad in the province of Salerno in the country of Italy. 

There I had to stay for a long time at the hotel "Ulises". I had to go for work, doing what I like the most, music. We went with the ELO (electric light orchestra). It was a season of many crezy things, I had many adventures around the twon. This was one of the funny experiences of my life because I tried a lot of varied food, I was in very relaxing places, and I was also with a lot of nice people.

The music we made there was fueled by the enriching experience that the entire group of people had. The live concert were complete successes, and the after-show parties were carazy.

Currently I remember these stories with great affection, because sometimes I think about how well I lived my life, and how lucky I am to travel doing what I like.

POST 1 >> A COUNTRY I WOULD LIKE TO VISIT

I am very ineterested in traveling to Europe. The country of this continent that I want to reach is France. I still haven´t  decided if I´m going to Paris or Lille. I want to study in one of these cities in France.

France is one of the most important countries of the trumpet, since I am a trumpeter, I want to study there. I have Known that the best conservatories in the country exist in these two cities, and that´s where I want to go.

For me to go study in this country, at present I am preparinf myself with the lenguage, I am studing French classes at my university. I am also preparing my practice on the trumpet, I am studing my instrument a lot for the special auditions that they will give me in the conservatories that I will go to. For the special auditions that they will give me in the conservatories, I have to prepare musical pieces that demostrate my level as a trumpeter.

There in France, I have very good chilean friends who also a play trumpet, and they belive that I have a lot of potential to get there.

I hope to achieve my dreams.
